New Fund Filings Expand XRP Investment Options in the US

Recent U.S. regulatory filings have surfaced for three distinct XRP-linked exchange-traded products, underscoring a broader push to integrate the token into diversified financial portfolios. While these documents from ProShares and Morningstar Funds Trust signal growing institutional interest, they remain separate from the established spot ETF market.

New Fund Filings Expand XRP Investment Options in the US

ProShares submitted a Rule 24f-2 notice on August 27 identifying its unlevered XRP ETF and the 2x leveraged Ultra XRP ETF. The latter, trading under the ticker UXRP, utilizes financial derivatives like futures and swaps to track twice the daily return of the Bloomberg XRP Index. Market data indicates the fund maintains an expense ratio of 1.67% and currently holds between $40 million and $55 million in assets. ProShares warns that the compounding nature of daily leverage makes this product suitable only for investors who actively manage their positions.

Separately, Morningstar Funds Trust filed an amendment for the Cyber Hornet S&P 500 and XRP 75/25 Strategy ETF. This fund, which began trading in January 2026, bundles XRP exposure with large-cap U.S. equities such as Nvidia and Microsoft. Although the fund’s assets are modest at approximately $550,000, its structure highlights a trend toward hybrid investment vehicles. These filings arrive alongside a robust spot market that has drawn $1.57 billion in cumulative inflows as of late August, with Bitwise and Canary Capital leading the institutional charge. As the market navigates these new offerings, upcoming catalysts include a September 1 escrow release and a critical Senate procedural vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act scheduled for September 15.
