Aurora Intents Expands Cross-Chain Execution to Sui Network

Users can now execute complex transactions on the Sui blockchain with a single digital signature, bypassing the traditional hurdles of manual bridging, wallet switching, and native gas management. Aurora Labs integrated its Intents Connect service to bundle cross-chain transfers with final on-chain actions like lending or staking.

The system streamlines participation for users moving assets from external blockchains, effectively removing the requirement to hold SUI tokens for network fees or navigate separate interface transitions. By leveraging the NEAR Intents solver network—which has processed over $30 billion in volume to date—the platform automates liquidity, settlement, and cross-chain connectivity behind the scenes. According to Aurora Labs, this approach addresses a significant friction point where users frequently abandoned the process due to the technical complexity of multi-step asset deployment.

Sui presents a unique engineering challenge due to its object-based architecture, which deviates from the standard Ethereum Virtual Machine model. Aurora Labs CEO Declan Hannon noted that Sui is only the second non-EVM chain supported by the service, following Solana. For developers, the integration offers a path to tap into broader liquidity without building custom bridging infrastructure. While the system abstracts the technical layers, it does not bypass the underlying blockchain transactions; instead, it coordinates the entire sequence—from source chain departure to final destination position—within a single user request.
