Uniswap Stock-Token Trading on Robinhood Chain Hits $1 Billion Milestone

Cumulative trading volume for tokenized stocks on the Robinhood Chain has reached $1 billion, marking a significant step for decentralized equity markets. Protocol founder Hayden Adams celebrated the milestone, projecting that volume for these assets could eventually scale to $1 trillion despite ongoing restrictions for U.S.-based investors.

Uniswap Stock-Token Trading on Robinhood Chain Hits $1 Billion Milestone

The $1 billion figure reflects total swaps involving various tokenized equities rather than assets held in liquidity pools. Activity has accelerated rapidly since the network launched its public mainnet on July 1, utilizing Ethereum layer-2 technology built on Arbitrum. As the primary automated market maker for the chain, Uniswap facilitates trades for tokens tracking companies such as Nvidia, Apple, and Alphabet.

Adams recently highlighted the potential of correlated liquidity pools, where individual stocks are paired with tokens tracking the SPDR S&P 500 ETF. This model aims to reduce inventory risk for liquidity providers, as correlated assets often move in tandem. While this strategy is designed to compete with traditional professional market makers, the scale of such decentralized equity trading remains in its early stages.

Despite the rapid growth in volume, access to these instruments remains strictly regulated. Robinhood Stock Tokens are unavailable to investors in the United States, and similar geographical restrictions apply to other jurisdictions. To manage compliance requirements, Uniswap Labs has implemented Permissioned Pools, allowing issuers to enforce identity checks and wallet allowlists. Although memecoins currently account for a large portion of the network's overall decentralized exchange volume, the integration of tokenized stocks continues to serve as a critical driver for protocol fees and user activity on the chain.
