According to the latest market update from Hilbert Group, the influx of capital marks a significant recovery from the $5.8 billion deficit recorded in July. Senior portfolio manager Jesse Marre noted that the ability of Bitcoin and crypto funds to absorb negative news—specifically the sudden jump in bond yields—mirrors a pattern of resilience seen in previous weeks.
Data from Farside Investors highlights the scale of institutional appetite, with BlackRock’s IBIT leading the charge at $1.16 billion, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $701.6 million. Even as daily inflows moderated toward the end of the week, the consistent positive momentum suggests that investors remain undeterred by broader macroeconomic volatility.
While Bitcoin currently consolidates between $82,400 and $87,500, Marre identifies $89,000 as the critical breakout level needed to signal a push toward $95,000. Conversely, he warns that a breach of $77,000 would likely damage the prevailing bullish structure. Beyond price action, the firm is monitoring the SEC’s shift toward establishing regulatory frameworks without direct congressional legislation. Marre cautions that such rules, while currently providing clarity for staking and revenue distribution, remain vulnerable to reversal under future administrations if they do not sufficiently embed within the market before the political window closes.
