Ondo Finance Taps Blockchain.com Alum to Lead Financial Operations

Adam Schlisman, the former chief financial officer of Blockchain.com, has joined Ondo Finance to spearhead the company’s financial strategy. His appointment marks a strategic shift for the tokenized-asset platform, which is currently pivoting from early-stage development toward institutional-scale operations in global capital markets.

Schlisman joins the firm from Monashee Investment Management, where he also served as CFO. His background includes a decade at Graham Capital Management, focusing on risk and portfolio oversight. At Ondo, he will oversee financial infrastructure as the company expands its suite of products, including its derivatives platform, Ondo Perps, and its global markets division, which recently saw its tokenized stocks surpass $1 billion in total value locked.

This executive shift follows a period of rapid internal restructuring. In June, the firm hired former Invesco and Grayscale veteran John Hoffman to manage product portfolios. These appointments occur under the leadership of CEO Ian De Bode, who assumed the role following the unexpected death of founder Nathan Allman in May. Under De Bode, the company has prioritized institutional integration, recently launching the Ondo Network—an execution layer designed to bridge traditional trading speeds with decentralized settlement.

Ondo currently manages over $3.5 billion in assets, offering blockchain-based exposure to U.S. Treasuries and equities. As traditional financial institutions increase their testing of tokenized infrastructure, Schlisman’s role will focus on scaling operations to meet the rigorous requirements of institutional partners, including ongoing collaborations with market infrastructure providers like the DTCC.
