Boerse Stuttgart Digital and Tradias finalize institutional crypto merger

Boerse Stuttgart Digital and institutional trading firm Tradias have finalized their merger, creating a unified digital asset entity with 300 employees. Following regulatory approval for the ownership control procedure, the combined business now integrates regulated custody, staking, and tokenization services under a single institutional umbrella across Europe.

The deal, first announced in February, consolidates two major players in the European financial landscape. While the parent organization will operate as Boerse Stuttgart Digital, the Tradias brand remains the primary face for trading and market-making services. The firm currently supports over 150 digital assets, catering to a client base that includes major institutions such as DZ Bank, DekaBank, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Société Générale-FORGE.

Co-chief executives Christopher Beck, founder of Tradias, and Ulli Spankowski of Boerse Stuttgart Digital will oversee operations from offices in Frankfurt and Stuttgart, supported by international hubs in cities including Madrid, Milan, and Dubai. This integration builds upon Boerse Stuttgart’s existing infrastructure, such as the Seturion settlement platform, which aims to reduce cross-border transaction costs by up to 90%. By merging these regulated infrastructures, the group positions itself to capture growing demand from European banks and government institutions transitioning toward MiCA-compliant digital asset services.
