Ansem denies Sahil’s claim of $100,000 MOTHER promotion payment

A dispute over celebrity-token promotions has resurfaced as Sahil Arora alleges that crypto trader Ansem received about $100,000 to promote MOTHER. Ansem denies ever working with Sahil and has challenged the authenticity of a private chat presented as evidence.

Ansem denies Sahil’s claim of $100,000 MOTHER promotion payment

In posts on Nov. 6 and 7, Sahil accused Ansem of taking payments to promote tokens associated with Iggy Azalea, Caitlyn Jenner and Jason Derulo during the 2024 memecoin boom. Ansem replied, “no i have never done anything with sahil,” and said the wording in an alleged private exchange did not match his texting style.

Sahil pointed to an August 2024 post by Ansem containing what appeared to be a conversation about a proposed token involving rapper 6ix9ine. The messages discussed a warning that the launch could be a scam and an offer to help people avoid it. Sahil also circulated screenshots of Ansem commenting on celebrity-related posts in May 2024, arguing that Ansem first criticized his launches and later accepted payments to promote them.

The clearest payment claim concerned MOTHER. Sahil said he paid Ansem about $100,000 to promote the token. He separately posted an explorer screenshot showing a transfer of 129.5 SOL on May 28, 2024, at 00:28:42 UTC, which he said came before Azalea’s launch. His posts did not explain how that transfer related to the $100,000 figure.

Sahil also alleged that a wallet he attributed to Ansem received 504.5 SOL in two exchange withdrawals on June 25, two days after JASON launched. He said 377.43 SOL was forwarded that day to an address he identified as Ansem’s main wallet, valuing the amounts at roughly $69,000 and $52,300, respectively. He cited another 99.06 SOL receipt on May 31, valued at about $16,400, as evidence that the addresses shared a recipient. Sahil said he was assembling conversations, transactions and historical posts to support his account.

The allegations revive disputes around celebrity-linked Solana tokens. JASON fell more than 72% within minutes of its June 23, 2024, announcement; Derulo blamed Sahil for misleading him and said he had bought $20,000 worth of tokens. Azalea’s MOTHER was distinct from IGGY, another token associated with her name that Sahil promoted; Azalea distanced herself from IGGY.

Separately, Bubblemaps alleged that some social traders build followings through public wallets while selling through undisclosed ones. The analytics firm criticized promotional rewards, affiliate payments and launchpad leaderboards, and called for audits, identification of side wallets and bans for repeat offenders. It said it planned to expose a major influencer but did not name the person. Sahil replied by naming Ansem.
