Ripple executives are pushing back against the narrative that the industry’s massive political spending spree failed to yield results. While Democratic control of both chambers of Congress presents a challenging landscape for future legislation, the company points to the performance of Fairshake—a super PAC backed by Ripple, Coinbase, and Andreessen Horowitz—which claimed victory in 29 of 34 contested races. Although these successes included key wins in Nebraska and Kentucky, the strategy faced costly setbacks, most notably in Ohio, where over $60 million in industry-linked spending failed to unseat longtime critic Sherrod Brown.
Stuart Alderoty emphasized that the industry’s legislative goals, particularly the passage of the CLARITY Act, remain a long-term priority that transcends individual election cycles. The company plans to continue its aggressive engagement through super PACs and educational initiatives, banking on the influence of an estimated 67 million American cryptocurrency users. With roughly $56 million still in the Fairshake war chest, Ripple intends to maintain its presence in Washington, seeking to bridge the gap between regulatory oversight concerns and the industry's push for a domestic framework for digital assets.
