The investment, facilitated through the El Salvador-based Tether Capital, aligns with the stablecoin issuer’s broader strategy to integrate programmable money into autonomous systems. While the exact capital contribution from Tether remains undisclosed, the funding follows AIsa’s July report of $6.5 million in backing from investors including Alibaba, Tribe Capital, and Sumitomo Corporation.
AIsa provides a marketplace where AI agents can procure API access, models, and business software through a unified interface. The platform functions as a governance layer, allowing enterprises to set firm spending limits, track usage, and maintain audit trails for automated purchases. According to company data, the network currently supports over 250,000 agents and has processed 100 million transactions, though these figures have not been independently audited.
This move deepens Tether’s footprint in the artificial intelligence sector, following earlier investments in NEURA Robotics and the integration of USDT into AI-capable payment cards via Oobit. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino noted that the partnership addresses the growing demand for financial oversight as AI systems increasingly take on procurement responsibilities. AIsa now intends to scale its resource network and expand pilot programs across supply-chain management and financial intelligence sectors.
