Ethereum maintained its dominance in the sector, recording $17.60 million in sales—a 4.52% weekly increase—to capture roughly 44% of the global market. Despite this, the broader ecosystem struggled with declining engagement. Total transactions across the board dipped nearly 7% to 778,055, highlighting a sharp disconnect between high-value trades and general user activity.
Among collections, the Polygon-based Courtyard project led the pack with $7.68 million in sales, representing nearly 20% of the global total. Pudgy Penguins also saw a significant resurgence, with sales volume jumping 125.66% to $1.49 million. These gains were bolstered by high-value individual transactions, including a single BRC-20 NFT from the $8888 collection that fetched over $327,000 on Bitcoin. Meanwhile, other major chains faced headwinds; Bitcoin sales fell 7.33%, and BNB Chain volume dropped 16.26%, reflecting the continued volatility inherent in the NFT space.
