The company’s growth strategy centers on its BTC Life 1-Pay product, which allows high-net-worth individuals to secure life insurance using a single Bitcoin premium. Unlike traditional policies, this model guarantees a death benefit paid out in Bitcoin, catering to clients looking to integrate digital assets into long-term estate and inheritance planning.
To facilitate this international reach, Meanwhile has finalized agreements with 15 brokerage firms operating in major financial hubs, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. CEO Zac Townsend noted that the expansion was driven by direct requests from brokers whose clients needed specialized tools to transfer Bitcoin holdings to family members.
Bain Capital Crypto partner Stefan Cohen cited the company’s blend of regulated insurance operations and technology development as the primary driver for the renewed investment. Meanwhile, which received its Class IILT insurance license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority in July 2024, maintains its reserves and audited financial statements entirely in Bitcoin. While the firm has not disclosed specific revenue figures, it reported that 2026 underwriting income has already surpassed its total performance for 2025.
