Robinhood Eyes Tokenized Active ETFs With $1.9T Asset Manager T. Rowe Price

Robinhood Crypto is exploring a partnership with T. Rowe Price to bring actively managed exchange-traded funds to the Robinhood Chain. By integrating the $1.9 trillion asset manager’s strategies onto its Ethereum layer-2 network, the brokerage aims to expand its Stock Token lineup beyond passive index-linked instruments.

The proposed collaboration, announced October 9, marks a potential shift for Robinhood’s blockchain division. While existing Stock Tokens offer exposure to static assets like Nvidia or Apple, this new product would allow token holders to track funds where professional managers actively adjust holdings. T. Rowe Price Digital Assets is leading the discussions, though neither company has selected a specific underlying ETF or confirmed a launch timeline.

Any eventual offering faces significant hurdles. Robinhood noted that the project is subject to rigorous legal due diligence, board approval, and regulatory clearance. Furthermore, the company’s current Stock Token structure remains unavailable to U.S. investors, and it is unclear if this new instrument would bypass those geographical restrictions or undergo a different regulatory filing process. Robinhood Chain, which launched in July 2026 using Arbitrum technology, has already processed over $1 billion in cumulative volume, signaling a growing appetite for on-chain equity exposure despite the lack of direct shareholder voting rights.
