Strategy Eyes Daily Dividend Payouts for Preferred Securities

Strategy has scheduled an October 28 special shareholder meeting to seek approval for daily dividend payments on four U.S.-listed preferred stock classes. If the proposal passes, the company aims to reduce reinvestment delays and improve market liquidity by replacing quarterly and semi-monthly schedules with a new daily record-date framework.

Strategy Eyes Daily Dividend Payouts for Preferred Securities

The proposed shift affects four securities: STRF, STRK, STRD, and STRC. Under the new structure, each calendar day would serve as a record date, with payments issued the following business day. Strategy maintains that this change will not alter dividend rates, total financial obligations, or existing shareholder protections. STRC, which currently operates on a semi-monthly schedule, would be the first to transition on November 2. The remaining three securities are slated to follow on January 4, 2027.

Only common stockholders of record as of September 25 possess the authority to vote on the amendments. The company’s board has formally recommended approval, arguing that higher payment frequency could bolster demand for its preferred equity. Despite the shift, Strategy emphasizes that all payouts remain subject to board declaration and the availability of legal funds. Voting will occur during a virtual meeting, and shareholders who fail to vote will effectively see their non-participation counted against the proposal.
