MeshWallet Secures $10M to Eliminate Gas Fees for TRON USDT Transfers

Tallinn-based MeshWallet has raised $10 million in a private funding round to scale its gasless USDT wallet. By removing the requirement for users to hold TRX to cover network fees, the company aims to simplify stablecoin payments for both retail users and businesses operating on the TRON blockchain.

The capital, sourced from private investors and family offices, will support product development and user ecosystem expansion. Under current standard blockchain operations, users typically need to maintain a balance of the network’s native token—in this case, TRX—to execute transfers. MeshWallet bypasses this by settling fees directly in USDT, allowing users to manage their assets without juggling multiple tokens.

This approach targets the high-volume activity on the TRON network, which serves as a primary settlement layer for Tether. With TRON recording over $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers in the second quarter of 2026, the company sees a significant opportunity to streamline administrative work for businesses that prefer to keep accounting tied to a single currency. By handling fee delegation internally, MeshWallet aims to lower the barrier to entry for users accustomed to traditional financial interfaces.

Operating as a self-custodial platform, the wallet ensures private keys remain on the user's device. As the firm expands its feature set, it enters a competitive landscape where developers are increasingly focused on abstracting away the complexities of on-chain interactions. The company intends to leverage this funding to further simplify the onboarding process, positioning its wallet as a direct solution for the millions of accounts currently interacting with USDT on the TRON network.
