Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Accumulation With $370 Million Buy

After a two-month hiatus from the market, Strategy has returned to Bitcoin accumulation, acquiring 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million. The Virginia-based firm executed the purchase between August 24 and August 30, pushing its total holdings to a record 845,050 BTC at an average cost of $80,318 per unit.

The acquisition was financed through the company’s at-the-market common-stock program, which generated $602.8 million in net proceeds after the sale of 4.5 million MSTR shares. Beyond the Bitcoin purchase, the firm allocated $151.8 million to repurchase STRC preferred shares and directed $50.7 million toward dividend payments. Michael Saylor, who signaled the return in an August 30 post, continues to leverage a $19.09 billion offering capacity to manage the firm's capital structure.

Despite the aggressive expansion of its crypto holdings, Strategy’s stock faced pressure in Monday’s premarket trading, with MSTR shares declining 7.4% to $127.31. The company now reports $6.71 billion in combined cash and reserve liquidity, a buffer intended to support both its preferred-stock obligations and future corporate initiatives. While the firm’s total Bitcoin investment is valued at roughly $65.9 billion, current market fluctuations leave the assets trading slightly below the company's latest acquisition price.
