NVIDIA Revenue Hits $96.2 Billion as AI Infrastructure Demand Surges

NVIDIA smashed fiscal second-quarter expectations, posting $96.2 billion in revenue as global demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to accelerate. The company’s performance represents a 106% jump compared to last year, effectively outperforming analyst projections of $92.2 billion and signaling an unchecked expansion of the AI hardware market.

NVIDIA Revenue Hits $96.2 Billion as AI Infrastructure Demand Surges

The Data Center division remains the engine of this growth, generating $89 billion in revenue—a 117% increase year-over-year. This surge comes as major cloud providers and even Bitcoin mining firms pivot capital toward high-performance computing assets. GAAP net income more than doubled to reach $59.7 billion, while the company maintained strong gross margins of 75%. During the quarter, NVIDIA returned approximately $26 billion to shareholders through buybacks and dividends.

Looking ahead, management issued a fiscal third-quarter revenue forecast of $108 billion. This outlook is notable for its total exclusion of compute sales from China, highlighting the impact of ongoing international trade restrictions on advanced processor distribution. CFO Colette Kress noted that while customer demand points toward a potential doubling of business next year, the company projects a more conservative 70% growth rate due to tightening supply constraints. To mitigate these bottlenecks, NVIDIA has ramped up its supply and capacity commitments to $279 billion, a massive leap from the $119 billion reported just one quarter earlier. The firm has also moved its Vera Rubin platform into full production, with systems now active across major cloud infrastructure providers including Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
