StablecoinX stock climbs 12% following ENA treasury disclosure

StablecoinX shares surged more than 12% in early trading on Friday after the Nasdaq-listed firm revealed it holds a 3-billion-token ENA treasury. The disclosure accompanied the company's first quarterly financial report as a public entity, highlighting a significant stake in the Ethena ecosystem alongside a net loss driven by non-cash charges.

StablecoinX stock climbs 12% following ENA treasury disclosure

StablecoinX ended the second quarter with approximately 3 billion ENA tokens, representing roughly 20% of the total supply. Valued at $218.4 million based on the June 30 closing price, the position accounts for about $9.09 per Class A share. This treasury was established through a combination of tokens from the Ethena Foundation and private equity investments. While the company reported a $34.2 million net loss for the quarter, the figure was largely attributed to a $36.2 million non-cash impairment charge rather than operational spending. Adjusted for such items, the quarterly net loss narrowed to approximately $188,204.

Beyond its treasury holdings, the firm is building out its operational infrastructure. The company’s decentralized verifier node has processed over $3 billion in cumulative cross-chain volume since its inception. Additionally, StablecoinX recently launched its Harness middleware platform to provide institutional clients with payment routing and treasury management tools. Chief Executive Edward Chen noted that the recent merger, which brought the company to the Nasdaq, provides a strategic gateway for investors to access yield-bearing digital dollar products. Despite the market volatility inherent in ENA and the broader Ethena protocol, the company maintains a clear roadmap for expansion, including planned distribution services slated for 2027.
