The U.S. financial giant is currently wrapping up a 15% increase in its regional corporate banking headcount, building on a 20% staff expansion enacted in 2025. Regional heads Oliver Brinkmann and Kerwin Clayton confirmed that the hiring spree will target teams supporting mid-sized and large enterprises, the innovation sector, and financial institutions across multiple jurisdictions.
Growth is particularly pronounced in markets such as Taiwan, South Korea, China, and Australia, all of which have outpaced the regional average. In Southeast Asia, the bank is capitalizing on a surge in demand for data center and GPU financing, with Malaysia emerging as a primary beneficiary of AI-linked foreign investment. As intra-Asian trade volumes rise, JPMorgan is simultaneously deploying additional capital into trade and working capital finance to facilitate cross-border commerce.
