Morgan Stanley Recruits Bank of America Veteran for Industrials Group

Adam Kweskin is moving from Bank of America to Morgan Stanley’s Global Industrials Investment Banking Group, marking the latest shift in a competitive talent shuffle across Wall Street. Based in New York, Kweskin will focus on the water ecosystem, a specialized segment of the broader diversified industries sector.

The appointment follows a series of senior departures from Bank of America’s investment banking division this year, including exits by tech banker Rohan Sen and activism defense specialist Amy Lissauer. Bank of America has countered the turnover by hiring over 40 managing directors, such as Goldman Sachs veteran Jason Rowe, who joins as co-head of technology investment banking.

Morgan Stanley continues its own aggressive recruitment strategy. Beyond Kweskin, the firm recently brought on Sam Jackson from Jefferies to oversee building products and appointed Emma Taylor as co-head of global internet banking. These moves align with broader institutional efforts to bolster coverage, including the recent appointment of Mélanie Flouquet as global head of luxury goods in Paris and the addition of former Citigroup banker Niall Cannon to the software team.
