The newly unveiled Canopy Confidential App template utilizes Fhenix’s CoFHE coprocessor, enabling the use of encrypted data within standard TypeScript workflows. This architecture allows developers to integrate privacy as a foundational element rather than a secondary feature. By keeping the underlying network open while encrypting the data itself, the approach offers a middle ground between public transparency and the limitations of closed, private networks.
Operational logic occurs offchain via the CoFHE system, where encrypted inputs are processed before returning a verified, signed result to the Canopy state. This removes the burden of managing external privacy infrastructure or specialized encryption keys. The integration supports sophisticated use cases, such as hidden game mechanics or sealed-bid business auctions, where data exposure must be restricted until specific conditions are met.
While core Canopy components are already functional, the specific Fhenix integration is slated for a Q4 2026 rollout. Currently, the Canopy platform supports over 100,000 daily active wallets on its public testnet, while Fhenix maintains deployment across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base.
