AMINA Bank eyes public markets with Cantor Fitzgerald advisory

Swiss digital asset lender AMINA Bank is exploring a potential public listing, enlisting Cantor Fitzgerald to guide the firm through the early stages of its market entry. While a definitive timeline and valuation remain under wraps, the move signals a shift toward bringing regulated crypto-banking services onto public exchanges.

The potential listing would mark a rare milestone for a bank primarily focused on digital asset services. Operating under a license from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), AMINA—formerly known as SEBA Bank—has built a business model centered on custody, trading, lending, and staking for institutional clients. Its growth profile remains a key selling point, with the bank having posted a 69% revenue increase in 2024.

For Cantor Fitzgerald, the mandate aligns with an aggressive expansion into crypto capital markets. The firm is simultaneously navigating a high-profile negotiation with Blockstream to potentially place up to 30,000 Bitcoin into a publicly traded vehicle, following a recent partnership with tokenization firm Securitize. While the specific structure of an AMINA listing is not yet determined, the bank’s regulatory footprint—which now includes authorization under the European Union’s MiCA framework—provides a foundation for wider institutional appeal. Should the deal proceed, it would subject the lender to rigorous public financial disclosure and governance standards, offering investors a regulated alternative to traditional cryptocurrency exchanges or mining entities.
