Revolut initiates secondary share sale at $115 billion valuation

A secondary share sale is now underway at Revolut, marking a significant step for the London-based fintech giant. The move follows an internal communication to staff, positioning the company at a $115 billion valuation as it allows long-term stakeholders to offload equity ahead of a potential public listing.

The company is pricing individual shares at $2,017, according to reports detailing internal messages. While a spokesperson for the firm confirmed the sale is active, they declined to elaborate on specific financial terms, noting only that a formal update will follow once the process concludes. Previous reports from June indicated the fintech firm aimed to offload at least $750 million worth of shares through this secondary offering.

This latest valuation underscores the rapid expansion of the 11-year-old company. Late last year, a similar secondary sale valued the firm at $75 billion, a figure that already eclipsed the market capitalizations of established lenders like Barclays and Societe Generale. By facilitating these transactions, Revolut provides liquidity for early investors and employees who hold equity in the private firm, operating without the overhead of physical branches since its 2015 founding.
