Ramp Integrates Solana Stablecoins for 24/7 Corporate Payments

Ramp has integrated Solana-powered stablecoin accounts into its business platform, allowing firms to hold USDC and USDT for international settlements. This move bypasses traditional banking hours, enabling companies to execute cross-border vendor payments to over 140 countries while maintaining existing accounting and approval workflows.

The new Stablecoin Account feature allows businesses to store digital dollars directly within their financial dashboard, eliminating the need for separate crypto wallets or exchanges. Through Ramp Bill Pay, companies can fund transactions from U.S. dollar bank accounts, which are then converted to stablecoins for delivery to recipient wallets. Alternatively, funds can be settled in over 40 local currencies, providing flexibility for organizations that prefer not to hold digital assets on their balance sheets.

According to Ramp, more than 1,000 businesses already utilize stablecoins for vendor payments, with 70% of that volume occurring outside standard banking hours. Pravesh Mansharamani, CEO of Totalis, noted that programmable, on-chain treasury management serves as a superior alternative to conventional banking rails. Beyond payment utility, the platform offers rewards of up to 3.25% on eligible stablecoin balances, which Ramp classifies as cash-backed digital dollars intended for treasury management rather than speculative investment.

This integration marks a significant expansion for the Solana network into enterprise finance. The blockchain has recently prioritized stablecoin settlement infrastructure, evidenced by partnerships with SBI Holdings in Japan for regulated on-chain assets and collaborations with Google Cloud to enable AI-agent payments. By embedding these capabilities directly into corporate financial software, Ramp aims to normalize the use of blockchain rails for everyday business operations, effectively bridging the gap between legacy treasury systems and decentralized financial technology.
